Pump Boys and Dinettes opens This Week at The Flat Rock Playhouse

October 1 -  25, 2015    The Flat Rock Playhouse Presents Pump Boys and Dinettes    Pump Boys and Dinettes is one of the most frequently requested shows by Flat Rock Playhouse audiences. It’s a countrified musical packed with original and highly entertaining, toe-tappin’ tunes, presented as a love song to family and friends, both old and new.  

Somewhere between Frog Level and Smyrna, North Carolina, way down on Highway 57, the ‘Pump Boys’ sell high-octane gasoline, while the ‘Dinettes’ serve up plenty of pie and sass at the Double Cupp diner next door. Come sit a spell as the Pump Boys and Dinettes share their stories of heartache and hilarity with songs, live-instruments, and even a kitchen utensil or two.

Flat Rock Cinema Continues Award Series

The "Award Series" Continues at The Flat Rock Cinema, 2700 Greenville Highway in Flat Rock NC, just outside Hendersonville. BIG EYES began Friday, UNBROKEN starts February 13th, SELMA starts February 20th, WHIPLASH starts February 27th, FOXCATCHER starts March 6th and AMERICAN SNIPER is scheduled for March 13th.

The Conema's Magnolia Concert Series presented by Morris Broadband is ready for the 2015 season. THE CARBURETORS will reunite to kick off the series on Sunday, March 8th.  A 7:30 PM has been added show since the 3:00 PM show is almost sold out. Tickets are on sale and you can find the schedule and ticket information on the website.

The Flat Rock Cinema is "your affordable, locally owned clean and friendly bistro cinema, featuring great food, cocktails and local brews."  Doors open 40 minutes before show time. Arriving at least 20 to 30 minutes prior to show time is recommended if you plan to dine or if you have a group of three or more and want to sit together.
