FREE Concert Tonight in Hendersonville NC

June 29, 2015 Monday Night Live concert series featuring Pop the Clutch. These summer concerts are held at the Visitors Center in historic downtown Hendersonville NC.

Bring a lawn chair, but no pets or alcohol. The seating area opens after 5:30 PM and the concerts are from 7 PM - 9 PM

The Flat Rock Playhouse Music on the Rock Series Presents "Journey and Air Supply this Weekend

March 27- 30 Music on the Rock: Journey and Air Supply This concert features powerhouse vocals and some of the most best-loved pop songs ever written. Don’t miss amazing performances of “Open Arms,” “Faithfully,” “Making Love Out of Nothing at All,” “Don’t Stop Believing” and all of your favorites.

Wild Peonies Perform at The Purple Onion in Saluda

November 24, 6 PM at the Purple Onion, 16 Main Street, Saluda NC - The Sunday evening series presents Wild Peonies. Wild Ponies feature the dead right, honest songwriting of Doug and Telisha Williams blended with a kick-ass band. Touring in support of their brand new release on Ditch Dog Records, "Things That Used To Shine", The Wild Ponies - Doug, Telisha and drummer Jake Winebrenner - bring energy and charisma along as they perform brilliant new songs as well as some of the old Doug & Telisha favorites.

The doors open for this show at 5:00 PM and seating is limited. The usual dinner menu will not be offered, but pizza and salads are available from 5 - 6 PM and dessert and beverages throughout the show. Admission is $15 per person. Call 828-749-1179 for reservations.

The Blue Ridge Parkway at 469 miles long is the nation's longest scenic rural parkway. Chimney Rock Park is named for a 500 million-year-old giant granite monolith overlooking Hickory Nut Gorge. Visitors are awed by the breathtaking view that spreads 1200 vertical feet beneath them and 75 miles across the Carolinas. The National Scenic Byways Program is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration. The program is a grass-roots collaborative effort established to help recognize, preserve and enhance selected roads throughout the United States. Since 1992, the National Scenic Byways Program has provided funding for almost 1500 state and nationally designated byway projects in 48 states. The U.S. Secretary of Transportation recognizes certain roads as All-American Roads or National Scenic Byways based on one or more archeological, cultural, historic, natural, recreational and scenic qualities.

Tsali Recreation Area is an outdoors lover's paradise. Probably the most popular features of Tsali Recreation Area are the 39 miles of trails suited for mountain bikers and horse-back riders, as well as hikers. The 4-loop system offers a variety of landscapes. You can climb 1-foot wide rugged paths or travel flat, well-beaten roads. The four trails--Right, Left, Mouse Branch, and Thompson Loops--meander through mixed pine and hardwoods on a peninsula stretching into Fontana Lake. Near Bryson City NC and Robbinsville NC.
