This Weekend's Music Events in the NC Mountains

Music lovers will delight in this weekend's Rogers Park Summer Tracks Concert Series  under the stars in Tryon NC tonight. This week features Sol Driven Train opening with their Children's Show. Music On Main Street Concert Series Friday nights in Historic downtown Hendersonville offers oldies rock, beach music, variety and top 40 music. Bring a chair and enjoy the music, admission is free. How about the "Classics & Chocolate concert" starring Lisa Odom, soprano and Fabio Parrini, piano at the Performing Arts Center in Waynesville tonight? Saturday includes Asheville's celebrated mountain tradition, Shindig on the Green   showcasing the region’s rich heritage through its folk musicians and dancers. If you haven't been to a traditional Square Dance in a while (or ever) head out to Little Switzerland and the Geneva Hall Square Dances with a caller, live bluegrass band, and lots of local character. Cake walks, clogging demonstrations, soda pop, and good times make this Blue Ridge Parkway 75 Event a great time! Keep heading east for Millers Creek near Wilkesboro and the Country Music Concert & Classic Car Show, a live concert with Tim Dugger. Proceeds benefit the Benny Parsons Athletic Complex.
