Blue Ridge Parkway 75 Event: Mountain Street Dances in Waynesville
June 25 Mountain Street Dances in downtown Waynesville North Carolina. Both local residents and tourists enjoy these FREE old-fashioned mountain hoedowns which began in the 1950s with live mountain music and dance demonstrations by local clogging teams. This year we are celebrating the Blue Ridge Parkway’s 75th Anniversary. Dances are held in front of the Haywood County Courthouse and begin at 6:30 p.m. and last until 9:00 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket; limited bleacher seating is available.
