Christmas at Connemara
The Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site
is decorated as the Sandburgs did, with traditional decorations, holiday
music and programs. Take a leisurely stroll of the grounds and visit
the goat barn.
Christmas at Connemara also features music with local
musicians and storytellers. Music/storytelling will be held from 10:30
AM to 12:30 PM in the garage adjacent to the Sandburg home. Hot cider
and cookies will be served. Holiday craft-making will be offered from 10
AM to 1 PM. Christmas decorations will remain until January 4.

Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site: Carl Sandburg, American
poet, historian, author, and lecturer spent the
final 22 years of his long and productive life
at his estate, Connemara, in Flat Rock, NC.
Today this National Historic Site offers a keen
insight on Mr. Sandburg, his family and their
264 acre working farm. The Sandburg Home was
built in 1838 and now houses his collection of
10,000 books, notes and papers.
The home offers
daily tours.
