Thanksgiving Eve Marathon WIne Tasting in Asheville

Nov 23, 11 AM - 7 PM at Table Wine, 1550 Hendersonville Road, Suite 102 in Asheville NC. FREE pre-Thanksgiving wine tasting to help pick your holiday feast wine parings. Table Wine has become a community gathering place in South Asheville and Thanksgiving Eve is no exception. The shop will host an all day, FREE wine tasting of 8 assorted wines.

The tasting gets under way right when the doors open and will run until closing at 7:00 PM. 2 bottles of each of the eight wines will be opened with 60 to 70 pours of each wine. You'll have to attend the event to find out what wines are being tasted, but to tease your tastebuds, one of the wines was described by famed wine critic Robert Parker as "one of the best Cotes du Rhones I've ever tried". All wines will also be offered by the glass.

The National Scenic Byways Program is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration. The program is a grass-roots collaborative effort established to help recognize, preserve and enhance selected roads throughout the United States. Since 1992, the National Scenic Byways Program has provided funding for almost 1500 state and nationally designated byway projects in 48 states. The U.S. Secretary of Transportation recognizes certain roads as All-American Roads or National Scenic Byways based on one or more archeological, cultural, historic, natural, recreational and scenic qualities.

Tsali Recreation Area is an outdoors lover's paradise. Probably the most popular features of Tsali Recreation Area are the 39 miles of trails suited for mountain bikers and horse-back riders, as well as hikers. The 4-loop system offers a variety of landscapes. You can climb 1-foot wide rugged paths or travel flat, well-beaten roads.
