Asheville's 65th Annual Holiday Parade this Weekend

November 19    The 65th Annual Asheville Holiday Parade will begin at 11:00 AM. This year’s parade theme, Days Gone By”, is a celebration of the history of the Asheville community and its memorable past parade. Revisit  times past when life was less fast paced and relive some of the best memories shared by all of Christmas and other seasonal holidays of the past.
As usual there will be many creative entries - the pervasive spirit of creativity in Asheville is ever present.  The judges’ scoring will be based on creativity, entertainment factors and best use of the parade's theme. Prizes will be awarded in a number of categories.

While you're in downtown Asheville be sure to check out the Holiday window displays by downtown merchants.
This year's display competition includes cash prizes and judging will be based on originality and creativity, use of space, use of merchandise and general "wow" factor. Many will also incorporate the "Days Gone By" theme, although it is not required.
