Labor Day Weekend Events: 65th Annual North Carolina Apple Festival

September 2-5   North Carolina Apple Festival  This favorite annual festival comes alive in downtown Hendersonville with a street fair on Historic Main Street including entertainment, arts & crafts, apple products, children and youth activities, special exhibits, food and the King Apple Parade on Labor Day.

The Annual Apple Festival has been a Labor Day Tradition for 65 years. Henderson
County is home to more than 200 apple growers and the state of North Carolina is the 7th largest apple producing state in the Union. The festival kicks off North Carolina's Apple season with breakfasts, a street fair and a parade celebrating "all things apple".  Download the North Carolina Apple Festival brochure with details of all events here.

The festivals includes a variety of special events
hosted by
community partners including pancake breakfasts, car shows, apple recipe contests and a gem and mineral spectacular. Children will be delighted with Rides, Inflatables and more in the Family Fun Zone.

The King Apple Parade begins at 2:30 PM on September 5 and is one of the highlights of the North Carolina Apple Festival. At the parade there will be professional floats, bands, youth groups, antique cars, fire trucks and many others participating in this event that is expected to draw over 60,000 individuals. The parade is a “spectacular finale” to the annual North Carolina Apple Festival.
