November 10 - 12, NC Parks and Forest Veteran's Day Special: The U.S. Forest Service is waiving fees at most of its day-use recreation sites over the Veterans Day holiday weekend including Whiteside Mountain and Whitewater Falls in the Nantahala National Forest near Franklin NC.
