Father's Day in Western North Carolina: PLAY BALL!

June 20 in Asheville North Carolina - Father's Day with the Tourists. Every dad who comes out will receive FREE general admission to the game!

Mayberry Day, the 50th Anniversary of the Andy Griffith Show
For the first 1,000 fans entering the stadium every 50th fan will receive a gift from Mt. Airy businesses the home of Andy Griffith. One of the prizes will be a special getaway package that will include a stay at Andy’s Homestead where he grew up a tour courtesy of Squad Car tours, meals, and tickets to The Andy Griffith Museum.
There will be a drawing for a chance to have lunch with Thelma Lou in Mt. Airy, Mayberry Trivia, Photo ops with Andy’s squad car. Also there will be Aunt Bee’s muffin eating contest and you have to whistle the Mayberry theme song after eating the muffins. Appearances by locals Otis and Ernest T.
Post-Game Autographs and Kid's Run the Bases
Every Sunday is family fun day and following every Sunday home game kid's can run the bases and there will be post-game autographs.

Chimney Rock Park is named for a 500 million-year-old giant granite monolith overlooking Hickory Nut Gorge. The National Scenic Byways Program is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration. The program is a grass-roots collaborative effort established to help recognize, preserve and enhance selected roads throughout the United States. Since 1992, the National Scenic Byways Program has provided funding for almost 1500 state and nationally designated byway projects in 48 states. The U.S. Secretary of Transportation recognizes certain roads as All-American Roads or National Scenic Byways based on one or more archeological, cultural, historic, natural, recreational and scenic qualities.

Tsali Recreation Area is an outdoors lover's paradise. Probably the most popular features of Tsali Recreation Area are the 39 miles of trails suited for mountain bikers and horse-back riders, as well as hikers. The 4-loop system offers a variety of landscapes. You can climb 1-foot wide rugged paths or travel flat, well-beaten roads. The four trails--Right, Left, Mouse Branch, and Thompson Loops--meander through mixed pine and hardwoods on a peninsula stretching into Fontana Lake. Near Bryson City NC and Robbinsville NC.
