A green Trail: offers easier challenges 12 to 15 feet above the forest floor for first timers, younger children, and more timid adventurers. There is no climbing once on the start platform,with  milder and more stable crossings attached to the lower trunks of the trees,  minimal movement and an easy finish back to the ground.

Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures scheduled to open this month

In August visitors to western North Carolina will be flying high in Asheville thanks to Wildwater and Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures. The first phase, scheduled to launch the second week of August, is a shorter version of the full course of 10 Zip sections and three Sky Bridges. The course will incorporate 150-year-old trees with views of the surrounding mountains and the Asheville skyline. This is the first urban zipline course for the region. "It will provide a different view of the city, and the trees and views of the mountains are spectacular and the thrill of the ziplines is as exhilarating as ever. This is course is a great addition to our existing Canopy Tours." says Jeff Greiner, President of Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures.

  

Located 1 mile from downtown Asheville, and adjacent to the 124 acre Crowne Plaza Resort, this central location makes it convenient for travelers and locals alike. The course encompasses a scenic setting with a beautiful grove of majestic white and red oaks and will include nine zipline sections, eight treetop platforms, five adventure tower platforms, three sky bridges and ziplines from several hundred feet long to approximately 800 feet long.

Navitat Canapy Adventures Opens for the Season Today

Navitat Canopy Adventures, a world-class zip line canopy tour near Asheville, has announced new nighttime tours as it opens for the 2011 season. “Navitat at Night” offers a new perspective on the exhilarating experience of zipping through the trees every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at dusk.

“We are thrilled to be offering this exclusive new adventure in our second season,” said Abby Burt, Branding & Marketing Leader at Navitat. “Our tour site, located in beautiful and secluded Moody Cove, takes on a whole new life after the sun goes down. Guests will find themselves surrounded by the sights and sounds of nighttime while zipping under a blanket of stars. It is truly breathtaking.” Guests travel by lamplight on a series of artfully constructed zip lines, sky bridges, trails, rappels and platforms high in the treetops.
