Swain County Heritage Festival
This two day festival has it all. Friday night entertainment is loaded with local talent featuring an emphasis on old time gospel
music. Saturday entertainment is classic country and bluegrass, clogging and Indian hoop dancing. In addition to music, the festival offers local arts and crafts, food, games for the kids,
a log-sawing contest and fun for the whole family.
The event takes place form 6
PM - 9 PM Friday and 10 AM to 6:30 PM on Saturday at Riverfront Park on Mitchell
Street in Bryson City NC.

Mother's Day Weekend Event: Waynesville's Annual Spring Festival
May 12 Whole Bloomin' Thing Spring Festival The Festival promotes and showcases local growers (farmers) and artists. You'll find lots of plants and herbs, handicrafts, food, entertainment, and kid's activities. FREE event. This is the tenth anniversary of Haywood County’s premier spring festival, kicking off the growing season with beautiful flowering baskets, vegetable and herb starts, berry bushes, and potted ornamental plants to jumpstart your garden.
Live music and entertainment will be provided throughout the day by local musicians and dancers, including Chris Minick, Frog Level Philharmonic (Dixie Land Jazz), Marshall Ballew, The Ross Brothers with the J Creek Cloggers, Raq Shuraka Dance Co. (belly dancing), and Caleb Burress.
This year, you can take home a little piece of Frog Level history. The tin tiles from the Water Street Cottage will be salvaged, embellished by local artists and sold at the Merchant’s Association booth.
