Macon County Fair This Weekend in Franklin NC

September 16 - 19, 2015     Annual Macon County Fair   An authentic agricultural fair featuring crafts, farm animals and festival foods. Held on the Macon County Fair Grounds in Franklin NC.

Franklin Hosts the 50th Annual Macon County Gemboree

July 23 - 26, 2014   50th Annual Macon County Gemboree   The Second oldest gem and mineral show in the Southeast features dealers from across the United States. Rough and cut gemstones, minerals, lapidary equipment and much more. The event is sponsored by the Franklin Chamber of Commerce and the Gem and Mineral Society of Franklin NC.

Mother's Day Weekend Event: A Mother's Love 5K Run in Franklin

May 11   A Mother's Love 5K Run   Mother/Female 5K race entry fee is $10 - Race t-shirts to the first 50 racers. Father/Male 5K race entry fee is $15. Race t-shirts to the first 50 racers. Children (12 and under) entry fee is $5. Race t-shirts to the first 25 children racers. For additional information contact Dave Linn at bringingit2life@yahoo.com. NC Holiday Event: Franklin Winter Wonderland

December 7    Winter Wonderland in Franklin   Franklin's Holiday Festival transforms Historic downtown Franklin into a Winter Wonderland. The event will be one night only with live music, Santa Clause, wagon rides and more.

5 PM - 9 PM. The Smoky Mountain Brass Quintet will be headlining the entertainment performing two concerts, one at 7:00 PM and the other at 8:00 PM. Artist Ryan McCurdy from Asheville will create a special slide made of ice for the young and young at heart to enjoy.

Mountain High BBQ Festival includes Live Music and Car Show

August 10 - 11 Mountain High BBQ & Music Festival  - A weekend full of BBQ, Music and a classic Car Show. This two-day event features authentic, mouth-watering BBQ, live entertainment ,a car show, cornhole tournament, crafters and tastin’ tent. This 4th annual event  is an official North Carolina State BBQ Championship with $11,000 in cash and awards.

Mother's Day Weekend Event: Franklin Annual Gemboree

May 11-13   11th Annual Mother's Day Gemboree Gem show featuring dealers from across the United States. You'll find fine jewelry, Rough and cut gemstones, minerals, fossils and lapidary equipment. The 3 day event is held from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Macon County Community Building in downtown Franklin NC.

March 31  April Fool's Trail Days  - A celebration of the Appalachian Trail. Friday and Saturday Night at the Sapphire Inn from 5:00 to 9:00 PM the Waldroop Band, Talent Contest. Saturday enjoy Live Music, Food, Outdoor Exhibits in downtown Franklin from 10 AM - 3 PM.
