Macon County Fair this week in Franklin

September 12-15    59th Annual Macon County Fair   Experience the "home-grown" goodness of Macon County, an authentic agricultural fair featuring crafts, farm animals and festival foods.

Farm animals are exhibited and compete for awards. From dairy cows to rabbits, goats  sheep, horses and chickens, the animals that make a working farm work will be on display.

At Educational exhibits you can learn how to grow vegetables or keep bees. Traditional crafts shuck as corn shuck dolls are found along with pottery, jewelry, tole painting and more. Booths with baked goods, flowers, house furnishings, craft demonstrations and more are a part of this popular fair.

The Annual BBQ Supper begins at3 PM with $8 for adult plates and $5 for children 12 and under. Eat in or take out. And don't miss out on the Harvest Sale with the opportunity to buy produce, baked good antiques and more.
