Join Emily Walker, Chimney Rock’s Education Specialist, near the Classroom on the Meadows for a nature program on the life of groundhogs and the Groundhog Day tradition. Then eagerly watch as Grady emerges... if Grady sees his shadow, it means we have six more weeks of winter weather ahead—but if not, then spring is around the corner!
After the prediction, a Park trail guide will lead a one-hour guided hike starting at 11:15 AM at Cliff Dwellers Gifts.

Chimney Rock Park and Old Rock Cafe will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through March 2012. Winter hours are Thursday - Monday from 10 AM to 6 PM with the Ticket Plaza closing at 4:30 PM. Call 828-625-9611 to check opening status in the event of inclement weather.
